It\'s a bad line 3d nymphets Georges Forgeois certainly knows bistros. With a half-dozen of his enduring eateries â think Bar Tabac and Café Noir â scattered around the city, he has the formula down pat. For a refreshing Niçoise or crisp Poulet Rôti no need to look further. But his latest venture, Clarkson, suffers from serious wanderlust. This West Village homage to the âgolden eraâ of travel runs long on kitsch while stumbling â hard at times â on the basics. Helmed by Thistle Hill Tavern alum Rebecca Weitzman, itâs a theme-park ride that goes everywhere and nowhere at once.
